Okay this is just ridiculous. Designers: YOU CAN’T JUST TAKE DRESSES DESIGNED ON SIZE 00 FITS MODELS AND MAKE THEM BIGGER. THEY LOOK TERRIBLE. That model is obviously stunning, but that dress makes her look absolutely shapeless. Thin model? Chic. Plus size model? $118 Muumuu. I’m also sure that Ms. Gorgeous and Thick has a fabulous rack, but can we tell? No. We can’t tell she has a waist either. She looks like a tacky floral house in that dress. Come on, this isn’t that hard. Designers, you need to get your shit together.

THIS. This is like one of my pet peeves. Thin women and plus-sized women have different shapes and thus different needs when it comes to clothing. I like the idea of the same styles being available in a wide range of sizes, but clearly adjustments are needed, and not all clothing is really suited for this type of thing, as the image demonstrates.

An why is it so much longer?!

Inaccurate.

It actually depends on the company.  Maternity leave in the US is up to twelve weeks in most cases.  Many companies provide paid leave, and just as many don’t. Short term disability will also usually cover your maternity leave, as far as finances go. There are exceptions, of course. If there are less than 50 people working for the company, if you have been at the job less than a year, and if you are one of the top moneymakers in the company.

It’s not perfect, nothing is, but saying that there is absolutely no maternity leave is factually incorrect.

You’re right the chart should be more accurate. What is actually is referring to is mandatory leave that must be provided. In the US companies and businesses are under no obligation to give maternity leave. They can but are not required to.

the chart specifically states PAID LEAVE

companies are not obligated to give you any paid maternity leave in the us

ergo the number is zero

Assholes: You should hate yourself because you’re fat and that’s ugly.

Fat People: I think I look marvelous.

Assholes: Well, you should hate yourself because being fat isn’t healthy.

Fat People: Why is my health your problem?

Assholes: Your being fat gives a bad example to my kids who then will think it’s OK to be fat and unhealthy.

Fat People: Why are your kids my problem?

Assholes: Why won’t you hate yourself?

Fat People: Because then I’d be just like you.

Getting my VBO on for my Eurovision party on Saturday. First time I have ever gone tights-less in front of my friends (or anyone). And even though I had my cellulite-y thunder thighs on show everyone still talked to me, no one told me I looked gross and the world actually didn’t end! Proud of how far I’ve come with loving my big old body!

all fat girls need to bombard the bodybuilding.com forum because they are assholes and they made fun of me (and others) in our fatkinis!!

standalonespirit:

We have an army to construct and deploy.

I read some of those comments, they made me laugh. These people spend hours everyday scultping and changing how they look and I bet they’re not an eighth as happy or confident with their bodies as you gorgeous fatkini girls are!
